Trevor,
Last night at 617 Broadway East, something worth keeping happened.
Amuse
Garden Bites
Sea Box
Risotto
Pasta
Lamb
Dolce
Seven courses. Each one a different conversation between the Pacific Northwest
and the Italian kitchen that Altura has been conducting on Broadway East for years.
It began with three small compositions on marble — an announcement of intent —
and moved through the sea (a wooden chest that opened, a broth with prosciutto
curled into the dark), through the forest (pasta in green so vivid it looked alive),
through the water (Dungeness and nasturtium, a bowl of popcorn as punctuation),
to the hills (lamb, radicchio, the quiet authority of celery root),
and finally to something sweet and closing.
Seven courses · Altura · Broadway East · April 2026
Altura's philosophy is deceptively simple: let the Pacific Northwest speak
in its own voice, shaped by Italian discipline. What that produces — on a good
night, on your night — is a tasting menu that feels inevitable, not constructed.
Like the ingredients always knew where they were going.
YOUR STORY PROMPT
Seven courses arrived last night — but one of them landed differently.
A dish, a moment, a detail you didn't expect. Which one stopped you,
and what was it trying to say?
Your answer — a sentence, a paragraph, whatever arrives this morning —
becomes the one thing only you can add to this Passport entry.
The meal is already there. We're waiting for you.
With care,
The Dynery team, on behalf of Altura
